Golden Sands Cottages

Wonderful place to stay. Great ocean view walks beside it. Fantastic owners. Waiting patiently to go back!

Perfectly located with direct beach access. Ideal for families and long stays to watch the sunrise and swim until sunset.

We stayed at Cottage #9 (3bedroom) last week. The cottage is lovely and clean. All the guests are quiet and pleasant during our stay. The owners Gayle and Dona are very pleasant and helpful. The view from the cottages are absolutely priceless. We see the ocean direction from the cottage windows and the deck. A set of private stairs and sandy path will take you to an extremely quiet and beautiful beach. This is one of the best beaches we’ve ever seen in PEI, extremely clean with fine golden sands, scattered with large white clam shells. The beach is miles long, great for walking or jogging. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay… we’ll definitely come back again perhaps for a longer period.

This is a special place.
The site for Golden Sands Cottages is situated on a headland that offers a sweeping panoramic view of North Rustico, the open waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence, Robinsons Island and Rustico Bay.
There are nine cottages and two motel units. Basic accommodation that is clean and comfortably equipped, managed by ever genial hosts Gayle and Donna.
And there really is a stretch of golden sands that is readily accessible within steps of the cottages.
The beach is quite popular and very kid friendly but walk away from the main access path where the beachgoers tend to congregate and a gentle solitude will begin to surround you.
Walk a little farther and you will almost certainly meet your muse.
Ever wonder what it’s like to step inside a photograph? Walk a little farther still, a portal awaits.
PEI offers a palette of colours like no other.
Linger a while and you’ll notice delicate pink hues that transform pools of water into works of art or bold orange tones that set the dark evergreens ablaze on Robinsons Island.
Water that at first reflected the morning sun in a shimmering dance of sparkling light has now given way to tranquil vivid shades of blue.
Should you wish to venture further afield it’s a relatively short drive to a variety of amenities and attractions, provincial parks, the PEI National Park and any number of beaches that you may wish to explore. But be sure to make it back in time.
The full moon is beginning its majestic rise above the tree tops on Robinsons Island.

Loving our stay! We have a breathtaking view of miles of dunes and North Rustico Harbour. Our dog is loving the long walks on the beach. The people are friendly and inviting. Highly recommended.
