The Laughing Lighthouse

We can assure, without a hint of reservation, that ‘The Lighthouse’ is one of the most unique and enjoyable accommodations that we have stayed in over the years, including Mexico, the US and throughout Europe. The spectacular view from the ‘Lantern Room’ cannot be over stated, as is from the ‘Gallery’ (… the deck that surrounds the Lantern Room). It’s even better if you’re ‘lucky enough’ to be there on a blustery day to behold the grandeur a turbulent Gulf of St Lawrence. In reality, there are so many pleasurable nooks and crannies, inside and outside, a mere week is hardly sufficient to make use of them all. Indeed, it is a ‘unique’ structure that may not suit everyone’s desires but it was perfect by our reckoning. Nothing at all was lacking or wanting and the hosts ever-willing to ensure our stay was pleasurable and ‘top notch’. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

I highly recommend a stay at this unique place and thank Debbie and Scott for making our our vacation such a wonderful time by being so pleasant and accommodating!
The Laughing Lighthouse is a very unique place in Kildare Capes and has spectacular views. Like other reviews state we also have nothing but good experiences to remember. The hospitality of the kind owners made the place very welcoming and inviting, and they were also very kind, personable, and payed attention to our family's needs.
The premises were fully stocked and have a large kitchen, an indoor pool with pool side games and bar area, a hot tub to relax, a sea deck with private ocean access, and an outdoor fireplace. Swimming and fishing from shore in the summer is also fun! What else could you ask for? We are puzzled about the one critical review, but disgruntled people exist in all walks of life.
The Laughing Lighthouse is certainly one of the nicest places to stay in all of Prince Edward Island and Debbie and Scott are amongst the nicest people we have met! We will certainly come again!

We had the pleasure of staying at this amazing gem hidden along the Kildare Capes! To drive up the secluded wooded drive and have the lighthouse come into view was exciting to say the least! Such a unique property with absolutely everything and anything you could ever dream of wanting to do!! Indoor pool with poolside games and bar area and outdoors is incredible! Sitting by the outdoor fireplace, relaxing in the hottub and on the deck nestled in the cliffs! Spectacular views everywhere you go on this property! I highly recommend a stay at this unique lighthouse cottage. Thank you Scott and Debbie for thinking of everything to make our stay such a wonderful time ! We will be sure to return!

The Laughing Lighthouse is the most unique and wonderful PEI experience. Scott and Debbie are the most gracious hosts who focus on details to ensure your stay will be unforgettable. Their personal touches and welcoming personalities will confirm that your vacation will be as special as this property. The large kitchen, the pool, hot tub, sea deck, outdoor fireplace are all bonus features that perfectly compliment the spectacular views.
The vast yard was the setting for our wedding in 2017 and our guests were treated to the most spectacular of the Kildare Capes. The lighthouse itself is unique and rich in family history and pride. It is fully stocked for your family's every need. A must see when visiting Prince Edward Island.

The Laughing Lighthouse was as delightful as it sounds! Even without all the uniqueness of the actual structure, the view, the sea deck which was great for sunrise coffee or a nightcap, the options for fishing bass or swimming in the ocean, made it worth it!! Now to the Lighthouse itself!! From the wonderful kitchen, or bbq area, to the pool and hot tub. Each nook and cranny left something to discover. I took my mom for her 75th birthday and she enjoyed watching family of all ages find their favorite spot to relax, swim, fish, play, read, cook or even be by themselves. My final comment , the view from the top was spectacular, it took a bit of careful planning by even Mom had to go to the top to enjoy!! We'll be back!!

Oh I also forgot the owners, they are great, very caring people who genuinely care about their property and will do all they can to see to it you enjoy your stay!
