The rock sanctuary getaway

Back in early August we spent a wonderful and relaxing week at the Rock Sanctuary Getaway in La Macaza (near Rivière Rouge and Mont Tremblant). The cottage is well located a few steps from a private swimming area and a calm river to canoe on. The setting is spectacular since there are two breathtaking waterfalls just around the corner. As well, the cottage has close access (a few minutes away) to Lake La Macaza where you can rent pontoons, boats, kayaks, and Sea-Doo’s... The place is strategically located near Rivière Rouge (where you can do river rafting and other water sports) and 15-20 minutes away from Mont Tremblant.

The cottage and amenities were top notch and the renovations to the cottage were charming and brand spanking new. With Wi-Fi, Bell Fibe, and flat screen TVs in all the rooms, no one was disappointed. We did kayaking, canoeing on both the river and the nearby lake. We even rented a 4x4, did some biking, and even went out on a pontoon on Lac La Macaza.

The grounds are spacious allowing our kids to play football, soccer, volleyball, badminton, and even horseshoes. At night we lit the fire pit and roasted marshmallows and s’mores.

Finally our hosts (the property owners) Gilles and Zvi were so accommodating and were always accessible. As well, their cleaning crew did an amazing and thorough job preparing the cottage before we arrived.

A great time was had by everyone!!
