Gem in les Laurentides, no other place like it! Beautifully built and designed, great indoor/outdoor feel. And damn the food is good!!! Montreal caliber restaurant, so grateful to have a place like this in Nominingue that takes advantage of fresh local produce. Cold brew to-go, best raspberry pie, tasty on tap beer, scrumptious soups and delicious table d’hôte menu starring seasonal favourites. Not to mention.. the owners are awesome and welcoming regardless of if you’re a local or not.. they even go out of their way to serve my partner who is a recent immigrant and I in English which is so cute and uncommon in northern Quebec. The chef is super friendly, talented and passionate and always mingling with diners. I rarely leave reviews and am not even active on Facebook since high school XD but just had to for this place. 5 STARS!!
We stopped for a coffee at this cafe, but ended up buying full lunch as it looked very appealing. We got the pulled pork sandwich and it tasted amazing. Everything homemade and very fresh. But, the surprise was the dessert: waffle with homemade pineapple jam, vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. It tasted heavenly! We’re so glad we decided to have lunch here.
A great stop for dinner! Welcoming service, unpretentious, tasty and good quality dishes using local produce. The burger was very good. We tasted an excellent homemade dessert that the chef, very friendly, had just concocted. We were about to leave when she told us! A very pleasant address from all points of view where it is good to return!
The healthy option compared to Chez JoJo. Everything was super tasty and fresh. I am visiting my father in laws cottage up here and this will be our new go to spot. Not much else choice in this town as it is. They had fresh basil growing and the staff seemed pleasant. If you are camping, living or just passing through Nominingue this is a must visit. The large patio looks on to the old train station where there is 200km of paved bike and snowmobile trail. Pretty Amazing stuff. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did!
Great atmosphere ! Lots of local products! Long live the Petit Café du Nord!
