A superb walk / guided tour of the island with a passionate guide, ready to answer all questions about the surrounding flora and fauna. On the other hand, there were a lot of children that day, who unfortunately were not at all interested except to destroy nature and the remains. Other than that, super interesting and if you're lucky, there are 4 moose living on the island, including some calves!
Be careful, the departure platform is not easy to find! No obvious signage, and excursion departure times depend on the tides!
Change of scenery guaranteed 🏞️☀️
A place to visit really. Jacques Cartier wasn't the first to navigate in those waters in 1534. Get the explanation there. Probably one of the most meaningful place to understand the discovery of North America by the Europeans after L'Anse aux Meadows, NF. Also you can stay there for a night in the rental chalets they have. On reservation for visits and rental.
Great experience with a passionate history guide (Émile).
Family visit well appreciated. Excellent for picking up and taking a moment of rest, it's so peaceful.
It makes you want to become a member of the Provancher group in order to rent a chalet there for a few days (otherwise it's impossible)
Having been a guide there for 2 summers, I can say that this place is magnificent! I recommend it to everyone, whether for a 3-hour guided tour or a few days in one of the three beautiful chalets ☺
Wow !
