The traverse is excellent when it works. The staff on site, in the village and on the island, do more than they can (bravo Joannie and Bastien); the problem is the experimental boat run by Pee-wees at the STQ head office (hybrid boat without batteries!!!); In conclusion, there will frequently be service breakdowns that make the situation difficult for everyone.
This small ferry has a capacity of about 70 passengers / 10 vehicles. It is imperative to book in advance, especially in the summer season. The schedule is changing, depending on the tides and there is a cost associated with transportation.
I pick up Sea Urchins on the Wharf. Good Quiet Place to Rest while waiting for my Trailer to get loaded.
Nice place to take pictures... on the other hand, don't get caught like me, the city girl... I was waiting for the ferry to go hiking to the green island... but the lady at the phone pointed me out that there was no water and the ferry would leave just at 11.30pm in the evening... i had a good laugh at my ignorance about the tides... lol
