Excellent food, adequate service, and cheap pricing. A very good restaurant if you're close by.
Best pho place on the south shore! The menu has a lot of variety (from soups, differents rolls, grilled meat plates, etc). They have vegetarian options as well.
The staff is always very friendly and helpful.
Love the combos of soup+appetizer you can have on weeknights. Also, the lunch menu is very fulfilling and affordable (meal + appetizer such as soup ou rolls).
Better to make a reservation for evenings or weekends.
Service was fast & friendly, spring rolls were really good & Pho (lemongrass) with grilled chicken was great. Restaurant is located in a busy plaza, sometimes finding parking is an issue.
The food was very good and so was the service. They don't have a liquor permit so no warm sake. But everything else was very good!
My friend and I were at dix30 and debating on what to eat for lunch since everything (or almost) is expensive over there. We decided to go to Sao Sao on a whim, I had never tried it but she had. It was a HOT summer day in the middle of August and the waiter advised before even giving us a table that the AC was broken which was thoughtful. They had fans on so it wasn't too bad.
I had a Gi cun roll as an Entrée and it was delicious! I could've eaten two or three of these and would've been full! The sauce they give you with it was also insane. I could tell they were fresh because I asked the waiter to avoid putting cilantro and when it came it didn't smell like cilantro like they just removed it or something.
As the main plate, I had Bò nng with rice and the little salad. It was grilled beef with its own spices and seasoning. It was truly delicious and it filled me up, definitely worth the price I paid!
All and all, the prices are very low and the portion size is generous!
The restaurant itself isn't the fanciest in its decoration or ambience, but it's cosy enough and I would recommend trying it on an evening and getting different plates to try.
Definitely will go again!
