This must have been one of the best places i have been in a really long time. We went down to my chalet not too far and after getting rain all week, we wanted to go out on the one beautiful day there was while we were out there and i was honestly left speechless.
I was originally looking for a wine tasting place but came across this place which wasn’t too far from where we were and decided to go, with all my searching i think i even messed up the opening hours and we arrived quarter before 4 thinking it was open until 5 and i think it was only open until 4.. Despite this, when calling to see if there was anywhere he answered super quickly and arrived within minutes.
He showed us the place and explained to us how everything worked, not only was it beautiful but the way he explained it was lovely and passionate. Being a little bit late in the season we couldn’t get to pick fruits or try the wine on the spot since the wine only lasts 1-2 days once opened, but he made us try his gin which i wasn’t sure i would enjoy as i am not typically a gin person but this was amazing!! The gin was light and had so many flavours, and it was really enjoyable even just to sip on. The owner explained to us where he came from and how he got here doing all of this and his story is nothing but amazing. He truly does all of this out of pure passion especially considering the very small profit he makes.
The experience was amazing and the view was incredible, and so we left with two bottles of the cherry wine along with a homemade sel de céleri à la livèche which his wife makes for bloody cesar rims. He suggested we drink the wine with cheese and charcuterie and i was really impressed!! It was amazing and i enjoyed drinking it alone as well, and I a fan of bloody cesar’s absolutely loved the salt. Everything was so flavourful and amazing and especially for the really low price of the local products i can only highly recommend this to everyone. I will be coming back next year for sure, and earlier in the season to enjoy the wine tasting events as well as some berry picking :)) Thank you again so much for the wonderful experience and products
Very nice people, beautiful surroundings and atmosphere.
A startup small company full of energy, very involved in the community and produces top quality beverage. keep it up and be proud!
Great discovery! The very kind owner introduced us to (and made us taste) different fruits that are used to make wines and gin. Followed by a short tour of the facilities and a tasting of their gin. Nice people, very clean place and great view of Lake Aylmer.
The L’Incantatrice Distillery is a delight for all the senses. Bravo to the entrepreneurial couple who managed to make this piece of land on the shores of Lake Aylmer a true local gem.
Take advantage of a guided tour to fully understand the extent of the work accomplished on this family estate. Enjoy a fine drink and leave with a bottle, if you feel like it!
Long live brandy!
