Bellevue Cemetery is situated on approximately 10 acres of land in the Aylmer Sector of Gatineau, at the intersection of Aylmer and Allen Roads. With history dating back to 1812, many significant pioneers of the Ottawa Valley rest here. You will still find many of those family names prominent within today’s community.

Bellevue is one of several historical Protestant cemeteries along the north shore of the Ottawa River. Here rest many of the earliest settlers of the Ottawa Valley with views either of the river to the south or the Gatineau hills to the north. Bellevue Cemetery itself is lovingly treed and tended to. A man (or woman) could do worse than to be buried elsewhere. My father, a French Catholic, who lived close by thought this as well. For him, and his family, the choice of Bellevue Cemetery was both natural and desirable.
