I've been seeing Dr. Dumais for years for recurring spider veins in my face as well as sun spots. The lasers do a great job. Highly recommend!
I have went to this dermatologist. Dr Dumais is a great doctor. He took his time to explain everything what cream and pills I have to take. I have to say the cream works very well as well as the pills. I recommend you go to this doctor if you have acne.
I see a lot of bad reviews and felt I had to share my experience.
I first went to see Dr. Dumais over a decade ago, for tattoo removal. He also helped with with cysts and beauty marks removal, scalp issues and some minor cosmetic procedures. He was always straightforward, professional and often cracked a few jokes.
For those accusing him of wanting to make money: I don't believe it for one second. The man still works full time despite being over 80 for G.. sake! As for prices, he actually charges less than other dermatologists (I've shopped around after I moved away from Ville St-Laurent).
Yes, I believe treatments might not have worked for some people and that results will vary. But I also think that, because we have to pay from our own pocket (rather than simply handing over our health card) it makes us more intolerant to the uncertainty, even if warned in advance.
I have been seeing dr. Dumais for about 3 months now and i am really liking my experience being treated for acne here. Contrary to what most people are saying, he really is not in this for the money. When I had some side effects to Accutane prescribed for acne, he called me 2 times on the phone upon my request when he could have easily asked me to come in for an appointment. I think he is very experienced, intelligent and thorough with the blood tests he asks for. He is bilingual also which makes a world of difference when expressing myself. The only complaint I may have is that some of the receptionists only speak French and that can be frustrating at times when you call to book an appointment but most speak English which is helpful.
