The long-desired office project, a thousand times redesigned, has been realized as I had imagined. I was accompanied from start to finish by professional, dedicated, meticulous and respectful people. There were delays beyond Habitation Plani-Conseil's control, surprises, last-minute additions, but throughout the project, I was able to count on the team. Simon, Vincent and François were the most present, but there were also a few others who came to lend a hand when necessary. My questions, hesitations, problems have been answered. I had to make decisions, of course, but the bulk of solving the problems when they arose, I was able to leave that to the team who always ended up finding solutions. The final project corresponds to what I wanted. All I have to do is enjoy it!

We renovated our kitchen, our bathroom and redid the insulation of the living room window. The owner of Habitation Plani-Conseil has a very good work team. The various trades that came to carry out the work were professional, respectful, we felt full of confidence. Construction standards were strictly adhered to. The work was carried out within the scheduled time. We were very satisfied and it is a company that I recommend.

I cannot stress enough how extraordinary Habitation Plani-Conseil was in the service. Our basement flooded in June, and after months of haggling with the insurance, we decided to chose our own contractor and chose Habitation Plani-Conseil. It was a breath of fresh air to have them come in and take care of the whole project in three weeks. Everything was clearly laid out ahead of time in the contract, which they carefully went over with us, Costs were clearly laid out and detailed, enough so that there were no surprises. The work was done expertly, professionally and courteously. For any renovation need, do yourself a favor, save the headaches and hassle and go with Habitation Plani-Conseil.

We had water damage in the basement in June and after months of debating and waiting for insurance, we decided to choose our own contractor. Going there with Habitation Plani-Conseil was the best decision we could have made. They were professional, courteous, and highly efficient. All the steps and the related costs were clearly indicated in the contract that Luc, the owner, diligently read with us. There were no surprises. I used Luc's Habitation Plani-Conseil to renovate the interior of my home after purchase and before moving in, as the previous owner had left many things in a messy or inconsistent state. Our project was quite "messy" as there were a lot of small things that needed to be done, which many contractors don't like but which Luc didn't have a problem with. I was very impressed with Luc's professionalism and his follow-up with the work being done at the site. However, his services do come at a higher fee as he prefers to work with cost-plus contracts instead of fixed-fee estimates.

I'm very happy with some of the services that were done at our house, such as matching the existing baseboard trim and wooden trim done at the home. I don't know how they did it, but they were able to repair our cracked wooden blinds very seamlessly.

Luc's team also did a beautiful job with the kitchen backsplash and even pointed out to me mistakes that were done by my kitchen contractor, whom I had hired out separately. Luc was often on site personally following up with a lot of the work to ensure it was done to a high standard of quality.

For some of the other work, in hindsight, I don't think it was necessary. For example, the labour cost to add floor protection was significantly higher than it would have cost to just pass a sander over any damaged areas. Since Luc prefers to do things to a certain standard, you need to ask yourself if the value of the work is worth to you what you'll be paying for it, as maybe there is another alternative.

Where Luc deals with subcontractors, I also find that the quality doesn't necessarily match the price paid. I was less than impressed with the cleaning service that was sent over, and while the paint job was overall done well, I had to personally follow up to ensure that missing holes, cracks, etc... were all patched properly, and there were still minor issues. I recently had issues with a sump pump munching on gravel, and while it's not Luc's fault since he did make me aware of the problem, I do think that the subcontractor could have at least reduced the risk by moving the gravel out.

Overall, I rate them 5/5. I would work with them again. Not every project needs the level of integration or services that they provide, but for those projects that do, Luc's team can be a great fit!
