CELIAC / Gluten-free (GF) review:

As a diagnosed celiac, after 36+ hours, no glutening symptoms to speak of.

We randomly took a chance to ask about gluten-free options, and the chef was very thorough in addressing the issue and discussing potential options/adaptations.

I ended up having the Burger 33 with a lettuce wrap instead of bread buns, and a salad side instead of fries. My spouse had a classic poutine with a ginger soda (sadly not GF).

The burger was a huge treat: the pattie was thick and juicy, the sauce was simple and tasty and the other ingredients all struck as very fresh (lettuce, mushrooms, onions). The same can be said about the salad side (jardinière). One path of improvement could be a tighter/cleaner lettuce wrap to reduce messiness of eating.

The poutine was also, according to spouse, quite good: crispy fries and a very homemade-tasting sauce, albeit missing a spoonful more sauce.

All in all, although a bit expensive, the quality/freshness of the food and especially of the service/human side is worth every penny. It is very hard to find neighbourhood joints ready and able to provide a GF meal and this one delivered in spades: can't wait for my next treat!
