The Saint-Laurent Social Paediatrics Center / At the Heart of Childhood offers children living in extremely vulnerable situations a refuge to grow better. Families find there a community and a warm anchor point to rebuild their strengths and ensure the well-being and optimal development of their children.
The integration of health services, social services and educational activities within a single warm and welcoming place makes it possible to act effectively on all the stress factors that have a toxic impact on the health and development of children. : material deprivation, unsanitary housing, food insecurity, parental mental health, precarious migration status, domestic violence.
