Vanguard has changed my son completely ! His grades have gone up, he gained confidence in himself and is very happy to go to school, he loves his school and has ambition to go to college.Thank you to all the teachers, specialists and staff for your amazing work!😊
Passionate and engaged educators that understand how to build the self esteem of students with learning difficulties and give them the opportunity to rise above their expectations. This culture is from top down with every staff and management personnel. My son is graduating from the high school this year and is going on to Cegep which is something I would never have imagined 10 years ago. If only i could give 100 stars.
I have the best things to say about Vanguard.
When my daugther got here she had her spirit broken, broken from harassment, bullying, teachers not caring, schools not caring, working the hardest she could and never been that “good enough” student. Vanguard build up her self esteem, her confidence and within one school year she was reading and writing at her grade level (Thanks miss Jennifer and Lena for that).
My daughter came to vanguard with a diagnosis of ADHD, dyslexia, dysorthography and anxiety. She was 2 years behind in reading and writing, even though she had been with tutors since grade 1, and if you see her now (3rd year in Vanguard) she is transform, her social skills have improved, she finally has friends, she is not the odd out anymore, her teachers actually care for her, the principal and staff are just amazing with the children. My daughter is happy and loves to go to school, her anxiety has improved, her life has changed for the better since Vanguard.
I have taught at Vanguard since 2004. To me, Vanguard is not just a school, it is a caring family. It is a meeting place where minds are set free and memories are created. Personal growth is not measured soley on academic grades. It is acquired with mindfullness and maturity. Year after year, I watch the students ebb and flow through the hallways. What remains are their achievements and their spirit- etched in the photos and within the hearts of the staff.
