Great selection, nice employees.
Really like this store. I buy all my fruits and veggies here. They have the best avocados.
A lot of local veggies and fruits from Quebec. Great variety of choices for such a small place. Staff is nice and friendly.
Small but completely packed grocery store that specializes in local produce and foods. Fruits and vegetables as well as wine and beer all sourced from Quebec and Canada.
I used to love Fruiterie Soleil because they were one of the only places in Verdun where I could buy meat and dairy substitutes and specialty items, but many better stores have opened close by with a larger vegan product selection. Now I only come here for convenience, to buy one or two things.
I hate the fact that they package produce excessively and needlessly. I would rather shop elsewhere than encourage a shop that cares so little for the environment. "Uglier" produce can be sold at a discount or composted, but plastic wrap and styrofoam can't be recycled. It defeats the whole point of shopping at a local store (which is to reduce your environmental footprint). Plus lately most of the fruit that I bought was brown inside even though it looked fine on the outside.
The only good thing about Fruiterie Soleil is that on holidays, it's always open later than all the other grocery stores, and the staff is polite.
