I was so happy and impressed with this CLSC! A rarity for a CLCS- a receptionist who was polite and friendly both over the phone and in-person. I was able to book an appointment for a few days away. When I arrived for my appointment, the nurse was professional and actually smiled! She solved my problem quickly. I was so pleased with service that was fast, efficient and best-of-all- staff who treat you like a human being, not just a number.
I went to this CLSC for a blood test, the reception staff were friendly enough and the nurses were super proactive which was nice. For the amount of people there, I didn't have to wait too long. The only downside is that it's a bit of a hassle to get to by public transport. I missed the bus so I walked and it took about 15 minutes to get there. My local CLSC, which is just a minute away from the metro didn't offer this service and I was advised by the receptionist at my local CLSC to phone CLSC Villeray to get more information. I was naïve enough to follow her advice. Don't ever call a CLSC for information, they have a phone number but it's a lie and a bureaucratic cop out! You'll just end up in an infinite automated loop of angering options designed for people to hang up so they don't have to hire actual people for their customer service.
Excellent nursing service. I had a surgery last week and had to see them this week to have the bandages changed and so on and they were very kind and supportive. I just had to call for an appointment and they gave me multiple options, and even a followup appointment a week from now. Top notch, very pleased. :)
(This is separate from the blood sampling clinic next door, which is a different situation altogether of course)
