A Victorian style conservatory—and a fine slice of Montreal architectural history. The Westmount Greenhouse is a nostalgic spot for those who, like myself, grew up going to the Westmount Library and Victoria Hall. When open, Westmount’s conservatory is a little known stop for locals in need of a glimpse of colour. Packed with greenery and with light pouring in from all angles, the Westmount Greenhouse is perfect for studying, hanging out with friends, or simply enjoying the floral exhibitions at all times of the year. It has a fountain and a pool, which are surrounded by benches and chairs, and offers a tranquility that is often hard to come by. When it (hopefully) opens back up again, I highly recommend checking it out!
When will work be done and the reopening of this place?
It is a beautiful place that was open to everyone.
When I see the waste of public money for useless things, leaving this heritage to be abandoned is disgusting!
Smallish but beautiful conservatory. In very good condition, architecturally. A great way to spend a couple hours (or longer), especially when the weather is bad. And, from time to time, you'll also catch an artist working on a painting.
