Following the construction of our house by Construction MF Guillemette, I want to share my pleasant experience with other people who are considering having a house built or renovated and who are looking for a company to trust.

As my husband and I were back in the region, we wanted to have our own house, a place to settle, where it would be good to live, in short, our own little nest. So we started by finding land in a place that would meet our need for peace.

We found the rare pearl in Orford. We also had a really good idea in mind of what we wanted for a home. So a friend drew us a map that we then took with us when we first met. We were greeted by Annie Dufresne who, from start to finish of the project, listened to our needs. So we discussed our vision, possible options and available materials. Michel Guillemette told us that he built all of his houses as if they were his own.

We then received a quote where all the charges were detailed. Construction MF Guillemette advocates transparency and trust towards their customers. Marilyn Guillemette explained to us all the contracts to be signed. She even offered to meet with us outside of her working hours so as not to affect ours.

I have to say, I didn't really want to wait a year for our house. I was given a construction deadline for December 21, or about 4 months, including clearing our land. After receiving the building permit from the Municipality of Orford, work began in September and we were moving in on December 21, as planned. We were very impressed, week after week, with the speed at which the project was progressing.

Throughout the process we had questions and Annie was very quick to follow up. She always advised us well, informed us and gave us lots of precious advice on the choice of little "extras" (stone wall for the fireplace, which mortar to buy?). For his part, Michel informed us of the progress of the work and of any changes to the plan (rocks during the excavation, modification of the plan for the chimney, etc.). He always found judicious solutions to counter small unforeseen events, always taking into consideration our interests and our budget.

In October, we attended MF Guillemette's cocktail party, where they won several prizes and from which we won the grand prize for a wall-mounted heat pump, courtesy of Climatisation Duplessis, valued at $ 3,400 !!!
When taking possession, Annie and Michel came to do a final inspection with us. Everything was explained and checked to us and in accordance with what we had planned. Construction MF Guillemette respected our idea, our vision, our budget and their deadline. We are extremely satisfied with the work accomplished and we strongly encourage you to do business with them.

Thank you to all the workers of MF Guillemette, as well as those of Kalla Cuisines & Design (Maude), Plomberie Christian Côté (Geneviève), Lyonnais Électrique (Éric) who made our dream a reality and because of our reality a dream . It feels so good at home, every night when we come back we have the impression of being on vacation, as if we were going to rest at the chalet.
