i purchased my Arkel bags in 2016 and i couldnt be happier. the quality of the products are 5stars. the bags have been on many tours and show no signs of failing. orcas, dolphins, handle bar bag and saddle bag all amazing.
recently i got the pair of the dry lites for some bikepacking,, and although i have not tested them in the field yet, im rather impressed and they look like they'll will perform just as good as the rest of my gear.
Products that are clearly designed by users of every kind, because the features, designs and materials are intuitive, with no extra fluff. The Cam Lock design is only the most obvious example. Then one learns that their client service team is equal to their product team...or are they one in the same? Somewhere in their business plan and staff training must be, ‘exceed customer expectations whenever possible’, because they do. I look forward to bragging about Arkel on the trail.
Arkel bags are different from other manufacturers. They have a detail about their designs and features that shows experienced cyclists made decisions. As an experienced cyclist myself (extensive touring, daily commuting), if I were to imagine my dream bags, they would be something like Arkel's. And build-quality is all top-notch. I recommend them.
I bought the lightweight panniers for bicycle tour. I'm very happy with the product. One minor complaint is the mounting instructions were a little sparse but I made call to the office and they fixed me up right away.
