Nice place to relax and have fun at the same time. The instructors were very nice and friendly. The staff did a great job organizing the event. Will surely visit the place again.

I came here for my first surf experience and can’t say a single negative thing! I loved that the instructors helped push you as far as they could but respected when you said no. There was enough time to try the body board and the flowboard. I was able to do so much more than I thought I would be able to do! I felt so at home and I can’t wait to come back to practice more!

I’ve gone to this place three times now, and every time has been a blast! Our instructor for two of those times was Dominique who was fun, full of energy and very helpful as we were trying to progress in our flowboarding. With her help, we went from falling two seconds after standing up, to standing and guiding the board after only a couple tries. Then during our second session, she helped us enter the wave on our own, and carve back and forth. I would definitely recommend her for guests of all ages!

The venue is very clean. They keep it very warm in there which is nice. They have a small gift shop for bathing suits and shirts, as well as a bar for drinks and food. The decor is really cool with upside down surf boards used as bar tops and decorated in a tropical/surf way. This place is perfect for a bachelor/bachelorette party beginning; you can ride the waves and have some drinks before, during and after.

If it’s your first time, it can be a little intimidating since the water is moving so fast, but after one or two tries, you’ll know what to expect and can start progressing. When you fall, it’s on a trampoline-like surface, so it doesn’t hurt.

This place is a must try if you live in the area, or if you’re visiting Montreal. Especially if you’re a surfer, snowboarder or skateboarder.

Great venue, attentive and fun staff. Kids had a blast and want to go back all of the time.

My boyfriend and I had a great time at Maeva Surf! Our instructor Sandrine was very friendly and upbeat. She gave a lesson on how to properly surf (with visual guide and examples on TV) and made us feel at ease. The surfing session was wild and fun. The waves were stronger than I had expected. Ladies, I highly recommend a one piece suit! Also, I would not recommend this activity for people on anticoagulants or have sensitive skin. 3 of us (our session only had 4 people which was a nice small group) tore our skin a bit. It shouldn't be an issue for most people though and they had a first aid kit with bandaids at the front. I recommend the meal combo deal because we definitely worked up an appetite after. Overall, great experience!
