A good gallery to visit.
I was in Montreal on vacation 8/22-27th and happened to be walking in Old Montreal late one evening and saw Richard's work. I was in awe of his work and the painting above the door however, it was late and the Gallery was closed. The next day I walked to the Gallery. I was warmly greeted by Venisa and stood in the gallery walking throughout it's three floors for hours looking at Richard's work. How can you possibly decide what to buy when there is such beauty all around you in the Gallery right? Well I sat in a chair and admired the work until I found the painting that spoke to me and bought it that day. I very happy with my decision and adding Richard's work to my collection. I'm sure there will be other pieces that follow.
Thank you Richard for your marvelous inspiration through you work. It's truly masterful. JPrieto
Definitely a Jewel amongst art galleries and a Must-see ! Elegant, warm and charming, Galerie Saint-Paul features original paintings by Riverin and Jaugey.....two of the most sought after artists on the market today. Located in beautiful old Montreal, it truly is a Treasure worth visiting.
Richard Riverin"s bold application of paint with palate knife is mind blowing. A feast for the eyes! Not to be missed on a visit to Montreal.
My husband and I saw a painting by Richard Riverin at a gallery in Quebec City last fall. When we went back with the intent to purchase the painting there was a huge downpour and we missed the gallery - twice! We walked up and down the streets of Old Quebec soaking wet and finally gave up. It felt like magic when we found Richard Riverin's gallery in Montreal. There was a reason we could not find his painting the previous week in Quebec City! The selection at Galerie Saint-Paul is amazing and we soon found a painting we loved. Try to visit the Galerie when the artist is in residence, he is a real character and will make your visit a real experience. We live in British Columbia and try to bring home a painting as a souvenir of our trips, this fit the bill brilliantly.
