Van Horn hobby is a real Gem. The amount of stock they have is astounding. Their stock of locomotives alone is the largest in Quebec by a long shot and I would say competes very well with major retailers in The rest of Canada. It's real old school style shop that only accepts visa or cash. They have stock there that is easily from the 80's and stock that just arrived. You will not leave empty handed I guarantee it. It's awesome shop and the staff is very helpful and passionate about what they do. 10/10 in my books.

HUGE amount of trains, very friendly and good prices. Bit hard to find though, walk through the little gate and it’s on the left. The door with the rapido trains sticker. Parking lot is shared with a ton of trucks so that how you know your in the right parking lot.

Van Horne Hobbies is a treasure of a model railroad store. It has vast selection of hard to find HO out of production Canadian locomotives including GMD-1, Intermountain SD40-2 wide cabs , RS11, RS18, M420, LRC and a wide variety of USA road names. The selection of locomotives freight cars and accessories is overwhelming. Shout out to Allain today for his help picking out my CN locomotives . Highly recommend a visit to this store.
