Extremely friendly and knowledgable staff who went out of their way to accommodate my mother and I.
cam visit with kids. The show at the end was good. But I think it is better to spend more time at the top near the observatory . Definitely opt for a show at night (if you are going to anyway) then watch the stars in the sky at night. They have benches and camping sites where you can relax and enjoy the view
The Mont Mégantic AstroLab is a nice place to visit. A small exposition of the history of how the universe has captivated mankind is interesting. Many little descriptive explanations on posters, a small flir camera, deforming mirors to explain telescopes, etc. The show that was presented afterwards on the big screen was captivating and beautifully rendered. I absolutely loved it. However, I wished they would have shown actual images taken by the Mont Mégantic observatory; that was a little dissappointing. After the presentation, an astrophysicist came outside to show us the sky and give us details about stars and the Neowise comet. So a good advice is to book your reservation in the evening. ?
The small movie presented "Emergence" is quite the little gem of condensed science for the public.
Fun experience! But look out for the wild life when driving up at night!
