I went to many different maple shacks in my life growing up in Québec and this is a very good one. Make sure you make a reservation if you don't wanna wait a long time, because they can be extremely busy. Everything was tasty and the maple taffy was excellent.
I went with my school and I had a MORE THAN AWESOME time! I can't even put it into words! I recommend this place to everybody. There is even mountain climbing and it is such a great view as you can see!
First time going there under the suggestion of a friend
First off, make sure you make a reservation. We thought going there on a Thursday would be fine but we had to wait about an hour as the room was FULL!
Food was veeeery good, one of the best sugar shacks I've been to. Huge selection of meats and desserts.
Located in a sweet (ha) spot far from the city
Will definitely visit another time
Service was good and the price was fair for the food served. Take note that other the the maple taffy itself, the desserts are not very sweet which in my opinion is a good thing. The unlimited maple taffy is what seperate this maple Shack from the rests however. In recent years I've found that others have started limiting you to the total number of sticks you can get. This one really is a unlimited source of taffy ????.
Great place for young and old alike. Compared to several other cabane a sucre's, nothing quite too distinctive. Food is pretty much the same as others. The dining room is big and loud so it didn't bother anyone at all to hear crying infants, screaming toddlers, or kids just being kids. The music outside nice and lively that kept everyone on their feet. Face painting, caricature drawing and artisan works out for sale. The farm was very limited with just some sheep and I think alpacas. A small wooden playground for kids but it was extra slippery so we didn't stay too long. And free unlimited taffy! Though 2 sticks was more than enough for us.
