Meredith Centre

The Meredith ARENA, is a drain on Chelsea taxes, costing the Municipality roughly $300,000 per annum. In short it subsidizes hockey players from Gatineau.
There is a nice weight lifting room
Nice spinning facilities and Stephen is a great instructor who projects his latest trail ride onto a large screen to bring the outdoor experience indoors. Great Fun!
I hear students of voice, training with their instructor on piano, Wonderful.
Nice and friendly reception staff. They are also responsive via email. We'll done staff.
They are careful to follow strict Covid protocols.
A few weeks ago, there was a lovely community book service in the lobby.

Suggestion: why not charge non-residents a $1 surcharge to use the hockey rink. Such an easy fix, such easy revenue.

The perfect community hub in Chelsea for the entire Family.

Great community centre with arena, gym, yoga studio, spinning studio, large meeting rooms, etc. There is also a great summer camp for kids. The kids can enjoy the outdoors during their summer vacations, as well as March break and Christmas vacation. My son likes the instructors the small size of the groups.

We used the big room upstairs for a 60th birthday party, lots of space to easily accommodate up to 150 people. Kitchen was nice, and the bar was outside the room which is nice because you don't have to tell for the bartender to hear you if you have music. Plenty of tables and chairs were available as well as an in house microphone if needed.
Only issue is getting there, it's a little tricky to get to if you have never been there before.
