(December 17, 2015, 7:02 am)The Champlain lookout is worth the visit in itself, but this short hiking trail is a nice addition to a trip. The trail is a short loop through the woods, beginning just below the lookout and ending at the parking lot. Along the way there's a particularly dramatic view from a wooden lookout platform perched on the edge of the escarpment. As the trail is short and not particularly steep at any point, it makes a good choice for families with small children.
