Stonehaven Le Manoir

If you want to experience being treated like royalty, or a Hollywood celebrity, or a world renowned dignitary, choose this luxurious yet anything but snobby hotel. Easily one of the best customer service oriented establishments I've ever known. We had an unforgettable stay!

This old estate house has been lovingly restored to its former glory. The vistas over lac des Sables are breathtaking with (or without) the autumn colours. Had a suberb lunch on the terrace. 5* all around.

We visited Stonehaven on our honeymoon and experienced a number of relatively minor mistakes and disappointments along the way that really just added up making our experience a bit disappointing overall:

- Rooms are small, no seating area
- First night: We asked for a kettle and ice up to our room - only the ice came
- Second Day: We asked for a massage appointment the following day, told we would be called the next morning to confirm, the receptionist wrote down the wrong phone number and when we came back to the front desk to inquire all of the appointments were booked up (receptionist assumed we had a 514 area code - this may have been due to a language barrier Eng/Fr)
- Dinner service was terribly slow - we arrived at 6:15 for dinner, and left (still hungry) at 9pm. It was three courses.
- Breakfast - scrambled eggs are crazy salty (I love salt)
- A friend had put a $400 credit on our room as a honeymoon gift, and Stonehaven had no record of this, and took them 24 hours to find it - they had to call us multiple times and find out the name of the person... it was there all along, they just didn't know how to see it on the system
- Ten days after departure they have recharged my credit card for the final amount of the stay

Overall, for a place that is $350/night it was just a bit lackluster. We really enjoyed the warm pool to relax in after a day of hiking, and the view from breakfast was beautiful. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Absolutely love this hotel! Have been here now twice - winter and summer and had such a great experience both times. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the food is excellent!! So much better than any restaurants in the area. The pool area is lovely with a jacuzzi and the grounds are simply stunning. Highly recommend!!

Very beautiful surroundings and area. They still seem to be in the breaking in period (en rodage). We are in Covid times still so maybe a factor. My room wasn't exactly what I was expecting / told it would be. Also needed to change room because A/C was broken. Staff was very helpful.
