Experience:

I purchased a reclining glider for our nursery on December 26 and was amazed when the product showed up to my home on December 30. They happened to have a model with my customizations pre-built a few weeks ahead, which is why I was lucky to get it so soon. As I was taking out the items from the box, I was very excited to put it together as the cushions were fluffy and the velvet material was nice and soft – it felt of good quality.
I noticed the base of the chair had a gap at the bottom front end which was concerning to me so I contacted their customer service. I checked the instructions, and online before hand and assumed that it was a defect as this was not apparent anywhere. The employee advised a new piece would be shipped within 10 business days and on the 10th business day I did a follow up to find out the piece was delayed. I was a little frustrated at this point as this box is massive and was in the way for 3 weeks and I didn’t know how much longer I would have to have it like this.
I was then contacted a few days later to be advised that there was a misunderstanding and the reclining chair requires that gap for the chair to recline properly. They sent a picture example of one in their showroom and apologized for the inconvenience it caused and that the previous employee was not made aware of this. With remote working and new employees coming on board I can understand how things like this can happen and was happy it was caught sooner than later and was satisfied with how they handled the matter. Mistakes happen.

Quality:

It was worth the wait of putting it together! The colour, material and quality of the glider is amazing. Just wow! We may even get a second one as my husband and I both love it. Possibly with a wider seat if available as I just fit (I’m a size 14) and the bars touch my hips. An extra inch or two would be nice for the curvier woman. All in all, it’s a beautiful chair and I am happy to buy a Canadian product.

WOW !!

So, bought one of the most amazing chairs from Dutailier through the Bay exactly 20 years ago... this chair still looks like new even though it's my absolute FAVE and I use it daily... two weeks ago it started to wobble while coasting back and forth and I turned it upside down to notice a ball bearing nut had disintegrated and had broken through... I contacted Dutailier to query what I might be able to do... within two emails and a few photos of the issue to Christine Foley (one of the Customer Relationship Agents) she notified me to say the replacement parts were ON THE WAY!! Are you kidding me... no charge... just here you go... after 20 years of ownership and use... All I can say is WOW !! ... the parts arrived and within 20 minutes I had the chair fixed and fully operational... just in time for my favourite movie night... :-)

Thanks Christine and thank you to all at Dutailier for building a very superior made in Canada product... you should all be very proud...

Christine Foley was a great help in following up when my order was not delivered by the shipping company. She made sure to have my order shipped again, and it arrived on the day she said it should. My replacement cushions were better than the originals and worth the wait.

Oh my gosh.....I LOVE MY NEW GLIDER ROCKER CUSHIONS! They fit my 14 year old rocker PERFECTLY and they are just BEAUTIFUL! I'm thrilled! Thank you so much Christine Foley for your excellent customer service in helping me get the cushions for chair AND ottoman ordered. I couldn't be more satisfied! Wish I had done this YEARS ago!!!!

I bought a rocker 24 years ago and needed a new cushion for it for quite some time. The rocker frame is still in AMAZING condition. Built to last. I contacted Dutailier through Facebook and got a reply right away. Because my model is so old, they were able to provide me with a code to order a new cushion that would fit the old model I have. I have ordered a new cushion and am just waiting for it to arrive. I am VERY excited to FINALLY have a proper fitting cushion for my rocker. Will be able to enjoy it soon. I would recommend Dutailier to anyone who wants a quality rocker and great customer service.
