My husband and I went for Dine in. We were warmly welcomed. Mural painting and decorations was aligning with concept of the restaurant. I also like bring your own wine concept.
Menu consists of Moroccan dishes. They have also Table d’hout menu which's price was reasonable. We both choose table d’hout menu. We started with soup which was the best part of the meal. Then continued with apéro which was similar to spring roll but smaller. It was freshly cooked and also homemade. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the main course since the veggies and the meat weren’t smeared in the same pot and veggies wasn’t soft enough. I also couldn’t taste smen which is a main flavour for most of cuscus based dish in my opinion. Lamb was soft and tender. All the ingredients cooked separately and put them together which should not be the case. Also, celery was not a good fit to this dish.
I choose Baklava as a Dessert. It was home made too. It was definitely good. You can taste the honey. I also could have preferred to taste butter. Amount of nuts was perfect.
I generally spread unsalted butter to each layer. You can also mixed butter and sunflower oil if you wanna reduce the cost. Then I bake 50min in 170C oven. So, you will have golden brown top with crispy inside. Syrup must be room temperature. In fact, your syrup was really good.
I want to give a constructive feedback. Overall was good. It is definitely a good restaurant for people who never tried moroccan cuisine. Morocco is one of my favourite country and I have spend enough time to explore cuisine and culture.
I forgot to mention, tea was amazing, it is exact taste that you can find in the street of morocco.
Pros: I liked the appetizer and the main dish which was chicken and couscous. Baklava and the tea was nice too. Plus cozy place. Nice staff.
Cons: too loud, and long wait time to get your food.
