Abbaye de Saint-Benoît-du-Lac

I loved this monastery and the attached boutique. The church is so beautiful and yet simple. The whole experience is very calming and a wonderful sanctum. The staff at the boutique are very warm and friendly and look for ways to educate you about the bargains.

Wonderful place, unfortunately, it’s prohibited to go to the backyard of the church. You can visit inside church and front. Free parking

A VERY simple visit (the church, grounds, gift shoppe...), but I really liked it (though outside of the building's exterior and landscape many might find it boring... Unless of course you like cheese, then the gift shoppe is awesome! Bring baguettes, etc. and have a picnic!).

I just wish we could visit the places where the cheese and cider are made, but that's prohibited... Only monks are allowed.

Beautiful nature and church, nice walk, apple picking if it's the season, and the shop is amazing.
Amazing cheeses, chocolates, jams etc for a very reasonable price, actually it is quite cheap for exceptional quality made with love and attention.
They also sell religious and spiritual books, statues and such.

Very beautiful place and peaceful. Beautiful property. The boutique was well stocked with food items. We bought cherry spread, apple raspberry spread, ketchup, and white and milk chocolate rosettes to bring home.
