Mon Automobile

I live in Fredericton, New Brunswick and came to Montreal specifically to buy my first car. I have spent a few days looking at used vehicles in my price point, went to 10+ diffent dealeships + private sellers and was not impressed neither by the quality of most of the car, nor the salesmanship/service of some places.

Mon Automobile was one of the last places on my map, and by the time I reached here I was stressed out and dissapointed, thinking I will have to go home without a car.

Then I met Jacques and everything flipped around. Jacques is an honest man and a very pleasant person to talk to. The car I was looking at (Kia Sportage 2014) was the cleanest among everything I saw and the garage I went to for a pre-purchase inspection said this is one of the best-condition 9-year old vehicles they ever saw.

As this was my first car I had a ton of questions about the car itself and the registration processes but Jacques was kind anough and patient and walked me through everything, even gave me maintenance tips etc.

The only caviat is they didn't have the Quebec papers on hand at the moment and I had to go home with the car (to NB). I was very suspicious about this but decided to trust Jacques and he sent me the documents in a priority mail, I got them super quickly and was able to register the car in my name in my province no problem.

I don't anticipate buying a new car in a long-long time but if I will ever do it again in Montreal, Mon Automobile is my first stop next time.

Buying a used car often requires tedious research and significant knowledge in the area. This task becomes easier if you have in your address book a loyal and credible seller capable of advising you and supporting you in this project.
