(December 23, 2023, 1:30 am)Sincere gratitude to the YMCA residence and the wonderful professional staff, who create a friendly atmosphere for new arrivals, a sense of security and provide comprehensive support, the possibility of short-term residence, accompanying the first steps in Canada.
The YMCA residence is located in the premises of Villa Saint-Martin (Villa Saint-Martin), which has more than 100 years of interesting and rich history. Villa Saint-Martin was established as the Ignatian Spiritual Center in Montreal and became one of the first centers of spirituality in Canada. Retreats were held here (from the Latin relecto - to gather anew) - several-day gatherings dedicated to spiritual renewal through prayer, conferences and confession. Villa Saint-Martin is located on the banks of the Rivière des Prairies next to the Bois-de-Liesse Park (Parc-nature du Bois-de-Liesse).
A great place to recuperate and an important aid to those fleeing war and seeking refuge.
