Always had good experience there. Some people complain about poor car selection: this can be a Herz policy as they try to load the nearby airport with cars and deplete non-airport location.
Therefore if you have a preferred non-airport location, like this Pointe-Claire place, it is a good idea to phone them if they do not have your selection. They might be able to help you.
As for yelling at customers, never happened to me. Owner even gave me a cup of Turkish coffee as we chatted. This is hard to gauge since a lot depends on the client and customer.
You can get service there in French, English, Armenian and Turkish if that is of any help.
They had a car available when I really needed one. Good enough for me. No nonsense service.
My semi truck needed to go into the shop for engine work and I needed a way to get home to Ontario. Google maps showed this Hertz as the closest car rental company. I reserved my car using the Hertz APP and arrived there 15 min later. The guy who served me was cool and had me setup with keys in hand within seconds. No BS car inspections and wasting time and the car was nice and clean. Easy no hassle location, I'd go out of my way to go there again if/when I need another rental.
