(October 31, 2020, 1:33 am)Love my new Silenzio red oak engineered hardwood floor. The quality is excellent and well worth the price. Only reason why I'm not giving Lauzon 5 stars is that their transition strips are manufactured in a different plant - which means the stain and sheen is different. In my case, the stain was close - but the sheen for the transition pieces leading to stairs is off. Flooring was extra matte at 10% while the transition nosing was likely 40% or so. On a high quality product like Silenzio expert, I would've expected Lauzon to work out the manufacturing kinks.
Other minor gripe - the stain provided by Lauzon was nowhere near what my flooring was. I actually ended up staining my stair treads with the Silenzio stain and then had to sand them back down to bare red oak given the huge contrast in color. Of course it's hard to apply the stain like they do in the plant, but I had two cans of stain and the second one was quite different from the first - so go figure.
Overall though, extremely satisfied with the quality of the product !
