Dumoine Valley Guides

Stayed here in March 2023. On a six day backpacking snowmobile trip, this was our favorite place we stayed. Very nice, clean cabin, dinner and breakfast brought right to our door. Much better experience than any hotel. Would highly recommend and definitely would stay here again.

Spend the night there last night. Pulled in late on my snowmobile and walked into a warm cabin with the wood stove pumping.
Food was amazing and the cabin was very comfortable. Breakfast was delivered on time and I'll return to this destination everytime I'm in the area. This is a spot you need to experience

We paddled the Dumoine with two familes; 4 adults and 4 kids, ages 10-13. Etienne shuttled us in his van up to Lac Benoit for put in and picked us up at the mouth of the river in his barge for a quick ride back to his property.
Etienne was very professional and punctual. The back roads of the Dumoine are pretty rough but we felt very safe in his experienced hands. We rented 3 canoes which were in very good condition.
I highly recommend using Etienne’s services for anyone looking to paddle the Dumoine. It was really nice not to have to paddle across the Ottawa river at the end of the trip. Part of the rental proceeds go to Friends of the Dumoine which takes care of some of the campsites and trails on the river.

Wow... what service and accommodations!

My buddy and I rode snowmobiles in Western Quebec. We spent our second night at Valley Guides in a nice comfortable cabin. The accommodations were excellent, clean, impeccable. The owners were kind and caring. They went out of their way to provide and incredible meal after a long day on the trails, it was fabulous. You can tell they really cared about the people that chose to stay with them.

The breakfast in the morning was right on time and absolutely delicious. It got us off on our long day of over 300 miles on the trail.

I plan to visit again very soon and highly recommend the facility.

Etienne at Dumoine Valley Guides gave us great service at a reasonable cost. He was reliable & competent. They had some good cabins we were able to use, they cooked us a decent breakfast. I'd use their services again with out hesitation.
