Pontiac Hospital

I had to mark this as a 5 star review or else it wouldn’t have showed up , I left a 1 star review initially because the receptionist talked to me in a condescending manner and made an underhanded comment while her back was turned . Super unprofessional. Great hospital but the staff is rude in front .

I am proud to be part of a small community where this level of quality hospital care is available. We have always traveled to Pembroke Hospital because it is closer, but we have become so dissatisfied with the care there that we finally stayed on the Quebec side and took my mom to Shawville. I wish we had done this a few years sooner. There is no comparison. Shawville Hospital was filled with pleasant and helpful staff who made me feel like my loved one was a priority. The care my mother received in the first few hours accomplished more than Pembroke could manage over a few days. In less than 12 hours she had a CT and a full diagnosis and treatment plan provided. The staff were all bilingual and I am so grateful for this as I am not fluent in French and I was so worried there would be communication issues. I am so impressed with this hospital and the staff. Their expertise and compassion has eased the stress of everyone involved, including the patient.

Extremely nice staff, but people are so impatient. They have people mad at theme constantly. They have zero control over the services. Emergency are in order of priority. But this health système we have is rotten to the end. Our government are spending millions in all kinds of BS none important area, but health ???
Everyone shuts up and keep paying our income taxes and yes sir and yes man, we follow.
With the social media we have it would be so easy the get the mass of the population involved, but no, it's all OK lol

Amazing staff, knowledgeable Doctors. Didn't take time to be seen, the whole process was under 30 minutes.
