Enjoyed 5-day tour thanks to Equinox Travel in Alma Quebec.
Very nice cycling trail around the lake. There is no clear (clockwise or counterclockwise) better direction to do this. We did counter and it worked for the best, tailwind both ways! Thanks to the staff the trail is quite nicely marked all along. There are bike stations in case of problems or general questions. Loved it and may be back when blueberries are out ;) there are parts where you’ll share the road with cars but overall the dedicated bike lanes outweighs the other.
Great infrastructure. Beautiful sights. Friendly people.
officially 269 km of bicycle riding in mostly flat and beautiful setting, but you will log more than that by discovering a lot of different areas and vistas along the way. The route weaves a little bit in order to keep the cyclists in a lower car traffic areas, but is a lot more secure than some roads without shoulders(route 373, st felicien to Dolbeau). Make sure you have a good amount of snacks, as stores can be scarce in certain places. water seems to be fairly available in public fountains and camping grounds. I did the tour in 3 days(100,100,70km per day) but will do it in 4 days and take more side excursions.
So much to do in this area gorgeous beaches. Great cycling in this area, well marked, easy to follow, with challenging levels for all. So many activities for everyone in this area to enjoy the scenery and nature. Hidden gem that should be on your bucket list!
