Le Gîte du Pêcheur

Good lodging for one night, with good value for money. Very good bedding, we slept very well. Breakfast prepared with care by our host Robin, who was warm. Note, however, that the rooms are in the basement and that ours did not seem to be well ventilated.

We were lucky to be welcomed at the last minute by Louise and Robin. During our long Kapatakan walk we had to shorten a day and rest. We couldn't have had a better time. It was like being with our families. Food, tranquility, intimacy...it's all there!

Robin and Louise were wonderful hosts. They were fun, had interesting things to say and definitely kept us entertained. Breakfast was good as well.
I have nothing negative to say about this B&B and highly recommend it to everyone!

There are 3 guest rooms and the walls are panelled with knotty pine planks. There is one large shared bathroom.near the guest rooms and another upstairs near the kitchen. There is also a TV watching g area near the guest rooms. My room had a queen bed and was comfortable. One guest room has a double bed and the other has 2 double beds. The owner is friendly but does t speak much English. Nearby around the corner are some nice views of the lake. TIP: Check out the beach view on Quai street and also the view of the lake from the nearby elevated roadside lookout point at the junction of hwy 169 and hwy 170.
