(July 13, 2020, 6:43 pm)Passing through St-Nazaire? You have to stop Chez Hélène. The menu is simple but complete. Good choice of trio, especially the “Carnivore” trio which includes a medium poutine with three meats (bacon, sausage and no smoked meat), a liqueur and soft cream. Quite a unique arrangement.
The BBQ poutine sauce is good, slightly smoky and not too gelatinous. On the other hand, the cheese curds are too small. Please note that you can have your poutine with cheese curds or grated cheese of your choice.
But above all, if you want, you can buy a 10lbs of locally produced potatoes on site. What more.
Fast service, fairly clean premises and creamery on site.
