It was an amazing dining experience. Everything was good, from appetizer to dessert. The mixtures of textures and flavors were carefully crafted by the chef who knows very well what he is doing. I highly recommend.
I had the pleasure of dining at Restaurant du Moulin in Val-Jalbert and am happy to say it was an exceptional experience. The wine chosen was the Barolo Fontanafredda, it was a perfect choice to accompany my plate of cheeses and sweet fruits. There was a wonderful variety of cheeses, each with their own flavor and texture, along with sweet fresh fruit that complimented the cheeses perfectly.
For the main course, I chose a beautifully cooked Filet Mignon served with a bottle of Osoyos Larose. The wine was rich and full-bodied, with notes of dark fruit and vanilla, which paired perfectly with the juicy, flavorful steak. The steak was accompanied by a lovely presentation of seasonal vegetables which were cooked to perfection.
At the end of the meal, I chose a trio of crème brûlée as dessert, and I also tried the chocolate fondant. The desserts were perfectly prepared, each creme brulee a different flavor, each smooth and light with a crispy crust. The chocolate fondant was incredibly rich and tasty, with an intense fondant heart.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated, with a warm and cozy ambiance. The atmosphere was peaceful and romantic, which made it a perfect choice for an evening with your loved ones. The service was also outstanding, with courteous and knowledgeable staff helping you make the right food and drink choices.
All in all, Restaurant du Moulin in Val-Jalbert comes highly recommended for food lovers. If you are looking for a place where you can enjoy fine dining with a variety of wonderful wines to accompany your dishes, then this is the restaurant for you. Immersion in a calm and authentic setting, this culinary experience is a must.

Service is perfect, setting is cozy and charming, and the food is by far the best within a 100 miles radius.
It's the only gastronomic restaurant in the area and a welcome break from all the "cantine" fried options around.
P.s. the breakfast was incredible too!
Just look at the pictures!
I ordered the sandwich, soup, and drink combo. Loved the chicken sandwich wrap! The carrot soup was very hot and yummy as well. They only serve until 2:30pm for lunch, and I’m glad that I got a little bite before continuing the journey. Very clean bistro with friendly and polite service!
Food and service was excellent
