Les Chalets Baie Cascouia and The House At The Lake

We booked this gem last minute as we arrived by snowmobile! What an amazing find, a delicious dinner was left in our chalet for us! Wonderful Rose-Marie had beer, pop etc available. She provided a great breakfast and was patient with my grade 10 French speaking abilities!

Very satisfied with our stay for a period of 15 days, the owners are very present and kind, nice sit. The 2-bedroom chalet was perfect for receiving my outdoor visit, And the temperature was beyond our expectations, I highly recommend this place,,
Only remark, the Wifi, does not work very well, but I believe that the owners are aware and are in the process of improving it,,

Our stay was perfect. Our host Mrs. Girard treated us with small onions. Calm, cleanliness and comfort assured. Meals and very hearty breakfast.

I was in a pinch needing a place to stay in the Saguenay area and I was a little worried about the quality I would find there. I found Rose-Marie's Les Chalets through an agency website and it was an exceptional place to stay. Very clean, extremely comfortable and unique in many ways. Breakfast was excellent and the bed and room very comfortable. Keep in mind, it can be a little tough to find...its also a bit secluded - the next decent sized town is a 30 minute drive (Alma). The lake is a beautiful setting and Rose-Marie is a great host. Another couple of quick tips...I must have missed the information that it is a cash only establishment...so be sure to bring some. Also, (as you should expect this deep into Quebec) you should know some French. I got by with the little I know, but there wasn't anyone there, other than other guests, that knew English. But everyone was really nice and dealt with the situation beautifully. I would stay again. Une excellente valeur et belle maison!
