Camping Jonquière

Campsite open to the public with payment and traffic that passes near the temporary sites. People are ordinary with each other. Full of mosquitoes and flies. No place for dogs. The beach is good and the park has games too. Our site was quite large (156), we couldn't see our neighbors from the side, but had the main campground road just behind.

Entrance is cheaper than it used to be. Instead of $12 per person, it is now $3 per person. They have a nice park for kids.

RVs are packed in like sardines, and the few spots available for tents are out in the open sun with no privacy whatsoever. The beach is nice, with a beautiful view, but because of the marina near by, there is often a smell of gasoline. This place is fine if you want to be in a mini-village with golf carts constantly whizzing by, but if you want to actually camp to relax, I suggest going to a provincial park.

They did try to help when I complained on their FB page, and offered me a different spot but honestly the new options were not much better. I feel like their website is misleading... Implying you will camp in a "natural" environment when, really, it's just a small crowded village.
