Great find! Our room had a balcony where we could hear the water hit against the rocks..... Spectacular!
Had some hesitation as we drove a bit far, but it was soooo worth it. You literally hang out over the river with breath taking views. Alex, the owner, is so helpful with all our various questions regarding what to see, etc.
Six of us stayed here over Xmas/New Years holiday to explore the beautiful region of Saguenay. Cannot say enough good things about the owner Pauline and the extent to which she went to in order to make our stay feel as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. We stayed in the Soleil room which gets lots of sunlight (as the name suggests) so be mindful of that if you like to sleep in as the blinds aren't black-out. Lounge area is a really nice touch and dining area is spacious and Pauline kindly let us use it for our family meals. Location is 15 mins from La Baie, 30 mins from Saguenay and within an hr of many outdoor activities. Highly recommended!
I can't say enough good things about this place. The breakfast food is amazing. The rooms are very clean and bright. Amazing views of the fjords. You can walk down to the small beach and walk out when the tide does out. The beach is not for swimming, rather to walk and explore all the neat things that are hidden in all the pools of water when the tide goes out. The price is very reasonable. Pauline is one of the big reasons we keep going back. She is soooo nice and ready to help for anything. She is also very knowledgeable about the area and it's history.
This is a gem of the Saguenay and so is Pauline. I will be back again and again.
