Motel Rive Du Lac

I had previously written a good review for this motel. But i had to add that after i did write the first review i realized that i had left my fitbit in the room. I live 6hrs away so i could not return for it. I called and they immediately ran to the post office and mailed it to me. I already have it back 4 days after i checked out. These people are wonderful and i would definitely recommend staying there!!!!

Simple and very affordable. We stopped here on our way across the country.

Love the owners. The husband is slowly but steadily upgrading the rooms (floors, tv, microwave, linen). Have been coming here for 3 years for inexpensive weekend retreats.

This little hideaway sits directly on the St. Lawrence seaway. I was envious of the other guests who were fishing.
In our room, there was a kitchenette and dining area. Probably built in the 50s, it has that post-war aesthetic and charm. Like any family run business, the amenities are less than corporate. I find that to be part of the charm. And with Canadian currency at a low, this place is a bargain!
