La Vie Est Belle . Vaudreuil Bagel

Popped in to the shop as part of a local promotion they had on to sample the different bagel flavours, and I was pleased with the experience from start to finish. I believe it was the owner who chatted with us, and he explained that the recipe is lower in sugar and uses molasses instead of honey to make the bagel still taste like a proper Montreal bagel.
Once trying the bagel at home, I noticed right away that the density of the bagel was the same, and on the first bite (untoasted) the bagel was the right amount of stick-to-your-teeth doughy. I tried the everything bagel (furthest left in the photo), which is my favorite flavour, and the flavour was exactly what I was hoping for - a solid blend of each topping (I find the onion can sometimes be too much).
The rest of the bagels in our sample bunch were (clockwise) sesame seed on wholegrain, cinnamon-raisin, blueberry, poppy seed, and regular sesame seed.
The structure of the bagel was perfect for both a simple topping (cream cheese) and for turning it into a sandwich - the shape of the bagel made it both easy to hold everything in the sandwich as well as physically hold the sandwich without it getting messy or toppings falling out.
I'm looking forward to returning (hopefully later this week!) to try more items on their menu.
Other points worth noting:
- The sandwich board sign outside is clear and easy to read, highlighting the non-bagel items on their menu
- The service we received was incredibly friendly and welcoming, they were willing to explain the "why" behind the recipe change
- The space was clean and easy to access from the front door to the ordering counter (there was also hand sanitizer available by the front door)

This is a hidden gem... My wife came home with several bagels and they were to die for. Our new favorite place.

What a pleasant surprise. We went there for lunch because it was close by, and what a super lunch it was. We had a very tasty bagel sandwich, pastry and Americano. Such a cute little place. Would definitely go there again.

Oh my! Amazing bagels. Perfect crunch on the outside and soft inside. The morning bagel is so tasty and satisfying. New favorite spot! Also got a delicious smoothie and the matcha latte is fantastic!
