“I am in the senior years of my life and have always been fairly active. I started working out at the gym, and have been doing so for the past 4 years. In late August 2018 I injured my shoulder doing bench presses. I thought I could work out the problem by backing down the weights, but after six and a half months, no improvement. I was directed by a fitness consultant to make an appointment at Mackie Physiotherapy. I phoned, got an appointment for an assessment, and wound up seeing a therapist named Nadia. After the assessment she told me what was wrong and best yet, how to fix it. Nadia understood the fitness goal I set for myself and started the coaching routine to guide me along. I experienced the healing process at work. It was comforting to know that I wasn't in this process by myself with the possibility of future injuries. My friends at the gym could see the improvement as well, and I was able to share with them some techniques Nadia gave me; although I recommended they could get an assessment done for themselves.
