“The service is friendly, and the space and colourful and mismatched dishware were cute. The spring rolls had a great crisp to them and were the best part of the meal. I also had coconut curry soup with shrimp and chicken. I found the soup bland and the meat quality lacking. My partner felt similarly about his noodle bowl. The meal was fine, but there are better and more convenient restaurants in the city that offer the same fare.”

“Great stop for lunch. The cashier was friendly. The place is clean, not sure if I just missed rush hour but it was quiet when I came. Plenty of parking, love that they have the menu displayed outside so you can glanced at it before even coming inside the place. (All places should do this.) Prices are a little too high I think, but that's just me. Overall, would recommend to try for sure.”

“I do like this place better than the ones at Midtown plaza. I know it is not a fair comparison, but the food here taste fresher and the meat are tender. My only qualms would be the olives, not entirely sure why, but the olives should be pitted already. It was a hard bite eating my salad since it was very unexpected and I think it could just be dangerous if someone swallows it. Great location in the north end, plenty of parking. Hadn't visited their washroom so I can't make a comment about it. Staff is friendly.”

“The service was great. The atmosphere was dark but very modern and tasteful. Seating was quick. Some notes for improvement. My stake was well done but I ordered medium rare. Also for the added charge I didn't get much for mushrooms the stake portion size was also surpising. All and all I would return and had a great time.”

“Ordered pizza through skip. I’ve tried several places in this city and they’re all bad. This was surprisingly good! Had the Garden Special (veggie) pizza. Their dough tastes very nice, crisp bottom and chewy (in a good way) on the inside. The cheese is ample and tastes look good quality cheese. My only criticism is that the price is steep. But, if that’s the price to get good pizza in Saskatoon, so be it.”

“This used to be just Taunte Maria's. However, it has recently changed hands and now has a Chinese food menu as well. I have not tried the Chinese food. The Mennonite side of the restaurant is still fantastic. Good size portions, home cooked, good service. Have been here many times and will keep coming back.”

“We had fond memories of the Taunte Maria's in Sutherland, and now that this location is open until 7pm, we were able to go for supper! The home made Grandpa burger was just as good as I remembered, but I forgot how huge it was! The beef barley soup was also delicious. The selection of home made desserts is also mouth watering and the prices are so reasonable. We will be back soon to try the Chinese food and desserts!”
