I had the needle and it was very painless. The pain was the soreness for a few days afterward, which wasn't too bad.
Great group of people. Keep u comfortable & informed on the procedure.
The staff at Gentle Procedures was so friendly and accommodating. I would defiantly recommend this clinic to anyone looking to have one of these procedures done.
I went for the no needle freezing option and I do not recommend it based on my experience compared with other guys who have had a vasectomy, but went with the needle for freezing. No needle does not equate no pain, I would describe it as someone flicking your testicles with their finger, multiple times as they apply the air burst (or whatever it was) no needle freezing option.
There was also an issue with the freezing not taking to one side. While the actual operation was relatively quick, about 5 minutes per side. The 5 minutes on the one side that didn't freeze was painful (to say the least). Since a needle injects a set amount of freezing liquid I'm guessing that the chance of freezing taking is much greater than the method I got. Post operation though everything seemed to heal up well.
So to summarize, get the needle. If it wasn't for the unneeded pain I would have given 5 stars as the clinic is clean, staff is friendly and I was in and out of there in under 2 hours.
