A delightfully curated museum, highlighting the history of the Fort Qu'Appelle area through First Nations peoples, the Hudson Bay Company, the Riel Rebellion, policing, the TB Sanitorium, immigrants and farming. Everyday home life is reflected in clothing and household tools from the 1800's onwards, school photos and graduation pictures offer a glimpse into education, while fraternal, service, sports and artistic organizations show the evolution of community life, accented by local personages of interest. A delightful opportunity for the entire family, there are objects and stories to engage and enthrall young and old. This museum is truly a Qu'Appelle Valley treasure.
Small town museum with lots of interesting artifacts. Neat place to take the kids. The Fort San stuff is almost creepy!
Enjoyed the tour, very education and fun. Ms Fanny mumbled through her script so it was she was hard to understand
My children enjoy the museum. We go there often. Nothing has changed, but of course it's a museum. Would be nice if they had more things to do for toddlers.
Nice little museum, donation of a dollar or two. Lots of history. Bison teeth that are 300+ years old. If you visit the farmers market pop in next door.
