A nice way to honor the memories of the millions people who died in the Ukrainian genocide from 1932-1933 engineered by Stalin's troops. The statue itself is called " Bitter memories of childhood " , is a little creepy if you don't know the history behind this beautiful work of art. The surrounding area was beautiful and picturesque as there is a waterway nearby. The university of Regina is within walking distance. There are other statues nearby as well. There is plaques behind the actual statue as well as an inscription on the back near the little girl's feet. Not sure what it says but I will find out and post it later on when I find out.
